Ben Webster, RPT

I have been working as a professional piano technician for fifteen years. I’m a graduate of the Piano Technology program at North Bennet Street School, the premier program in the field, and a Registered Technician in the Piano Technicians Guild. For many years I served private and institutional clients, venues, piano dealers and rebuilders as an independent technician here in Massachusetts. In 2022 I took an opportunity as staff tech at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque. My three years in this role allowed me to refine my skills through sustained care of a large fleet of instruments, including two Steinway concert grands. I had the rare chance to receive training in regulation and voicing at Steinway factory in New York City. While in New Mexico, I also served as president of the local PTG chapter.

Having recently returned to Massachusetts, I am excited to resume independent piano work with the benefit of the enhanced skills I acquired as a university tech. I love the North Shore. I enjoy deepening my knowledge of the area through my travels to visit clients and contributing the quality of musical life here.
